4 Days Gorillas & Lake Bunyonyi

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early Bwindi Gorillas & Lake Bunyonyi Holiday breakfast, you will be picked from your Hotel by one of our experienced Tour driver/ guides, who will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will make a stopover at the equator for Photography and Mbarara town for Lunch break. You will then proceed your journey to Bwindi forest, arriving early evening. On your arrival, you will relax at the lodge while preparing for your gorilla trekking the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking adventure and afternoon community walk

An Early morning Bwindi Gorillas & Lake Bunyonyi Holiday start after your breakfast, you will report at the park office to attend the briefing by the ranger guide about the Dos and Don'ts of gorilla tracking. You will then be assigned to the gorilla family of which you will track.

Expect to walking long distance on a steep and muddy and slippery trail, sometimes with rain overhead while tracking gorillas. The whole exercise may be strenuous but the joy you experience after encountering the gorillas is overwhelming.

Meeting the gentle giants in Bwindi forest is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Trekking may take 3-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in their natural habitat.

You will stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour once you encounter them, and then on return from tracking, you may go for community walk to meet local people including Batwa/ pygmies as you learn about their way of living.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi & Boat ride/canoeing

In the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, the most beautiful and deepest lake in Uganda, arriving in good time to have your delicious lunch.

In the afternoon after lunch, you will take a Bwindi Gorillas & Lake Bunyonyi Holiday boat trip to visit different historical islands on the lake such as Akampene also known as Purnishment island, Bwama and Njuyera also known as Sharp’s Island, Bushara island and many more. Alternatively take a canoe tour. Later return to your lodge for evening relaxation.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala – Entebbe International Airport

After breakfast, set off end of Bwindi Gorillas & Lake Bunyonyi Holiday and drive back to Kampala with en-route lunch break, then continue your journey arriving Entebbe early evening. Proceed to check in for your departure flight to your next destination or get dropped off at your Hotel as you end your tour.
